Included quarters are this year’s issues that honor El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico, Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico, Acadia National Park in Maine, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii, and Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska.

The American Silver Eagle is none other than the one that just sold out. Like all American Silver Eagles, it is composed from one ounce of 99.9% fine silver. The seven other coins are produced from 90% silver. Combined, the 2012 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set contains a total of 2.34 troy ounces of silver.

No more than 50,000 sets will be sold.

Sets go on sale November 27, 2012 at 12:00 Noon Eastern Time. The price is $149.95. Buyers can order a maximum of two with the potential for more after the first week of sales.

Once released, the proof sets are available directly from the United States Mint website at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog.
